CNC Lathe Machinist Job Summary:
A custom machine shop in Grand Rapids is looking for a CNC Lathe Machinist with Mazak lathe machining experience to add to its growing team. The company makes small production runs and custom parts and the machinist will be responsible for 1-5 piece runs of one-off parts, as well as some small batch production.
CNC Lathe Machinist Requirements:
- Operate a CNC Mazak lathe
- Perform multiple set-ups during a shift
- Handle tool changes and offsets
- Change programs
- Ensure quality with gauges, calipers, and micrometers
Schedule: 1st shift; 6am–4:30pm, Monday-Thursday, and 6am-3:30pm on Fridays some overtime after scheduled days is required, no weekends
Pay: $20-26/HR, based on experience
CNC Lathe Machinist Qualifications:
- 2+ years of CNC lathe machining experience required
- Flexibility to help in other areas
- Experience in tool changes and offsets
