Job Full Description
Shipping Associate Summary: A state of the art brass hardware company with a 130-year plus history is looking for a Shipping Associate to join their growing team.
Shipping Associate Responsibilities:
- Packing, labeling, and shipping product from the warehouse
- Stage product for shipping and load shipments using the appropriate equipment
- Accurately process all orders in a timely manner
- Load product onto skids effectively and efficiently
- Perform computer work to manage the shipping process
- Maintain attention to detail by catching incomplete or incorrectly packed shipments
- Load and unload trucks upon arrival and ensure freight is loaded at end of day
- Greet drivers with professionalism and maintain effective communication
- Work in a fast-paced environment, staying calm under pressure and ensuring all shipments are completed before end of day
- Learn and manage manual shipments for various customers
- Operate a hilo safely
Schedule & Pay:
- 8am-4pm and overtime is required as needed
- $17.00/HR
Shipping Associate Qualifications:
- Reliable transportation with flexibility for occasional late hours when freight pickup is delayed
- Previous warehouse experience is required
- Forklift and cherry picker experience is a plus
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for an entire shift
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Positive attitude and punctuality are essential
- Ability to stay organized and focused in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
