Engineering Techncian Job Summary:
The Engineering Technician assists by performing hands-on tasks like building and testing equipment, wiring, and following detailed design specifications.
Engineering Techncian Responsibilities:

Plans assembly procedures, following specifications.

Responsible for basic machining (saw, drill, mill, tap, etc.)

Aligns components, and bolts or screws them together.

Provides verbal report of project status on an as needed basis.

Installs moving parts, such as shafts, levers, or bearings, and works them to test free movement.

Responsible for the assembly of electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical components.

Assists in troubleshooting assembly and design issues.

Tests or assists in testing operation of completed product.

Assist management in various projects, helping prioritize and delegating work to shop.

Assists with assembly fixture design / fabrication.

Relies on knowledge of procedures and equipment repair experience to make recommendations to engineering staff regarding changes or modifications necessary for equipment.

Inspects the final assembled unit to ensure the finished product conforms to the assembly drawing or parts list.

Required to work well with others in multiple departments and support production department as needed.

Maintains cleanliness of work area.
Schedule: 1st Shift, 7am - 3:30pm, Monday-Friday
Pay: $26.00/hr
Engineering Techncian Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required
- 5-10 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Wiring and assembly experience required
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as blueprints, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Knowledge of basic shop safety, previous equipment assembly experience is required.
