Bilingual Shipping/Receiving Associate Job Summary:
We are looking to fill a Shipping Assistant position at a custom glass company located in Grand Rapids, MI. This company provides decorative glass products to many different offices, universities, and various other organizations. This company puts an emphasis on quality, and they strive to be the best in all that they do. Bilingual Shipping/Receiving Associate Responsibilities:
- Operate a forklift
- Move material around the warehouse
- Packaging & labeling
- Cleaning and prepping glass for shipment
- Working with saws and hand tools to build custom crates and packaging
- Supporting the material handlers and production team when needed
- Measure, cut and assemble materials to create crates
- Read blueprints or specifications to understand the construction process
- Preform Routine Maintenance on tools and equipment
Schedule & Pay:
- 1st Shift 7:00am-3:30pm Monday-Friday with overtime as needed
- $18.00/HR
Bilingual Shipping/Receiving Associate Qualifications:
- Bilingual (English & Spanish)
- Forklift 2-3 yrs. of dedicated experience is preferred
- Previous material handler experiences in a warehouse setting
- High Attention to detail
- High pace attitude
- Strong communication skills
- Preferred but not required previous experience with RF scanners
- Inventory support experience using an ERP system
- Good deductive reasoning skills
- Understand and follow the ISPM crating Process and procedures
