Inventory Cycle Counter Job Summary
A local furniture manufacturer is adding an Inventory Cycle Counter to their growing team. The Inventory Cycle Counter is responsible for accurately counting and tracking inventory levels within the facility. This role ensures inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts, helps identify discrepancies, and supports the overall inventory management process.
Inventory Cycle Counter Responsibilities
- Perform daily, weekly, and monthly cycle counts of inventory items according to established schedules
- Reconcile physical inventory counts with the inventory management system to identify discrepancies
- Investigate and report any inventory variances, working with the warehouse or production teams to resolve discrepancies
- Assist in maintaining accurate stock levels and ensuring products are correctly stored and labeled
- Update and maintain accurate records in the inventory management system after completing counts
- Collaborate with purchasing, production, and shipping departments to resolve inventory issues
- Support inventory audits and assist in process improvements to increase accuracy
- Follow all safety and quality procedures while performing inventory counts
Schedule and Pay:
- 1st shift, 6:00am-3:20pm Mon-Fri (OT as needed) - flexibility on start and end time
- $21-$24/hour based on experience
Inventory Cycle Counter Qualifications
- Previous experience in inventory control is preferred
- Attention to detail and accuracy in counting and data entry
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently
- Basic knowledge of inventory management systems and Microsoft Excel
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs repetitively
- Experience using software to track inventory
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
