Mechanical Maintenance Technician Job Summary
Local event service is hiring a Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join their growing team. The Mechanical Maintenance Technician would be responsible for performing routine maintenance and timely repairs on rides, attractions, games, trucks, trailers, and other support equipment. Mechanical Maintenance Technician Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on rides, attractions, games, trucks, trailers, and support equipment to ensure safety and efficiency.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and structural issues while maintaining accurate repair logs and schedules.
- Apply skills in electrical troubleshooting, welding, metalwork, woodworking, and automotive repair to resolve technical problems.
- Conduct preventative maintenance to extend equipment lifespan and reduce repair costs.
- Ensure all repairs meet safety standards and comply with regulatory requirements, including DOT standards for on-road equipment.
- Maintain a clean, organized workshop and manage inventory of necessary parts and materials.
- Collaborate with management and team members to communicate equipment status, repair timelines, and maintenance plans.
- Provide training or guidance on basic equipment handling and minor repairs.
- Support events by transporting, setting up, operating, and maintaining equipment while troubleshooting any issues on-site.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and suggest modifications to enhance equipment performance and reliability.
Mechanical Maintenance Technician Qualifications
- 2+ years of hands-on experience in mechanical repairs, fabrication, or maintenance work.
- Strong working knowledge of repairing trucks, trailers, and support equipment.
- Skilled in using welders, grinders, and other metalworking equipment with precision and safety.
- Experience in building and repairing structures or equipment made from wood and metal.
- Ability to diagnose, repair, and rebuild rides, attractions, and other mechanical systems.
- Adaptable, innovative, and creative in solving challenges on the spot.
- Mechanically inclined with the ability to work independently and think critically to troubleshoot issues.
- Committed to ensuring safety, reliability, and quality in all maintenance tasks.
- Thrives in a fast-paced environment with a strong desire to grow skills and expertise.
- Has a valid drivers license and a clean driving record.
Schedule and Pay
- Monday – Friday with overtime as required
- Pay $20 - $30/hour depending on experience
