Industrial Sewer Job Summary: A manufacturer in Grand Rapids in the furniture industry is seeking an experienced Industrial Sewer for their organization.
Industrial Sewer Responsibilities:
- Operating a serger sewing machine
- Adjusting machines for exact dimensioning
- Sewing a variety of materials including upholstery textiles and leathers
- Set up alignment to match stripes/patterns and centered patterns
- Reading work orders and patterns
- Planning material usage to minimize waste
- Cutting stacks of upholstered material to specification
Schedule & Pay:
- 1st shift 6:00am-2:30pm Monday-Friday (overtime as required)
- $18.00-$20.00/hr DOE
Industrial Sewer Qualifications:
- Industrial sewing machine experience
- Excellent measuring
- Excellent attention to details and matching skills
- Able to see color
