Job Full Description
Express Employment Brighton/Howell is assisting a client in Wixom, MI for their recruiting of skilled individuals to work as Coiling Operators and CNC Assembly Machine Operator. This position is a contract to hire after completing certain amount of hours.
These positions are not entry level; must have 3-5 years of knowledge and worked in this similar work setting. Also this client looks for longevity.
These positions require training on 1st shift from 6:00am - 2:30pm for roughly 3-4 weeks. Then transfer to 2nd shift.
2nd shift: 2:30pm - 10:30pm Monday to Friday. Very limit overtime to offer.
Pay rate: $17.00 - $19.00, will get a $1 shift premium once fully trained and transferred.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED
- Own transportation
- Be able to work in a fast pace environment
- Willing to be a team player with training or assisting others in training
- Stand up to 8 hours and lift up 50 lbs. with repetitive motions
- Able to read mechanical drawings, measurements in metric units.
Responsibilities:
- Receive and understand work orders from the production manager.
- Measure dimensions of parts while machine is running to ensure parts are conforming to the data sheet.
- Understand basic mechanics and workings m the realm of computer numencally controlled machine tools.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose downtime issues and machine breakdowns.
- Performance of hourly checks on the parts being produced to ensure that the dimensions are within tolerance limits.
- Setting the coiling machine with correct tools and alignment as denoted in the machine set-up plan.
- Perform heat treatment of properly formed parts.
- Maintain scrap and/or non-conforming product per WI-C-06-A Machine Operator General Instruction.
