About the Company:
The purpose of this position is to provide responsible, independent operational support for the Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) Program’s Continued Occupancy/Reexamination functions by serving as the Senior Housing Specialist and functioning as a Team Leader for the Continued Occupancy and Reexamination Section. Within established parameters, the incumbent exercises considerable independent judgment in performing assigned tasks.

Key Responsibilities:
- Notify program participants and landlords of scheduled reexaminations.
- Interview participants: verify and document the required information.
- Calculate the tenant's share of rent.
- Recertifications may be conducted via mail, individual or group briefing sessions, or as a home visit where a reasonable accommodation to persons with disabilities is required.
- Process requests for minimum rent hardship exemptions.
- Notify participant, landlord, and Finance Department of new HAP and tenant payment amounts.
- Analyze situations, review available actions, and determine the best course of action.
- Calculate, compute, summate, and/or tabulate data and information.
Qualifications:
- Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent
Required Skills:
- 2-5 years of experience in general business/office experience
- 1-year section 8
- 1-2 years rent calculations
