Express Employment Professionals of Monroe/Lenawee County is working with a client in Adrian, MI to identify a qualified Human Resource Administrator for their facility. Please fully read the information below for details!
DIRECT HIRE
Location: Adrian, MI - 100% Onsite - Remote work will NOT be permitted for this role. No relocation assistance is provided.
Salary: $45,000-$55,000 per year - Based on experience
Schedule: M-F, Candidates must be flexible as company orientations, trainings and meetings may fall outside of normal business hours. General schedule will be 8am-5pm.

Responsibilities:
· Processing payroll weekly for hourly employees and bi-weekly for salary employees (total of 125 employees)
· Monday dedicated to processing payroll which includes working with supervisors and managers to ensure accuracy in employee punches and hours reported
· Tracking and recording employee weekly attendance records
· New Hire Orientation & Onboarding – not only the new hire paperwork, but coordinating drug screens, background checks, physicals, and the onboarding process including scheduling training and meetings with all necessary departments including safety, quality, etc.
· Managing and maintaining all employee files (which are all paper files) – including medical, onboarding, performance, training, etc.
Recruitment / Talent Acquisition –
o Working with hiring managers to understand open positions
o Posting and recruiting for open positions
o Scheduling interviews with hiring managers, etc.
o The company always tries to fill openings themselves first before working with outside staffing.
Talent Training/Development –
o Maintaining and managing the employee training matrix spreadsheet, ensuring no employee certifications lapse or expire and communicating with managers when employee certifications (for things such as DOT/OSHA) expire ***This is important for the company’s annual ISO audit.
o Tracking and coordinating annual employee physicals (monthly)
o Sending out weekly, monthly, and quarterly training schedules
o Working with managers on employee performance appraisals
o Identifying training needs for managers and employees on all/any topics deemed necessary
o Partnering and working with outside training vendors
· Assisting with the employee reward and recognition program
· Assisting with additional HR special projects as needed/as assigned
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of Human Resource experience preferably in a manufacturing environment
- Associates Degree in Human Resources or Business
- Minimum of 1 year payroll processing experience (experience with Paycor or similar payroll software is required)
- Minimum of 1 year of full cycle recruiting OR Talent/Training/Employee Development Required
- Must have strong knowledge and understanding of HR policies, laws and regulations
- Must understand how to professionally keep confidential information private and not share with employees
- Must be extremely detail oriented
- Must have strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong computer proficiency with Microsoft Office, and Payroll Software
