Job Description:
Supervisor experience
This position will require the candidate to primarily be a Lead Scheduler and Production Control for steel wire and rod coils and interact with department co-workers.
Responsibilities include:
- Lead Scheduling per customer orders and confirm production rate is achieved daily.
- Contribute to the orderly operation of stock and/or materials storage area.
- Maintain inventory by identifying, labeling, and keeping materials and supplies in stock, recording location of inventory, and reporting shortages.
- Locate materials and supplies by pulling and verifying materials and supplies listed on production orders.
- Maintain in-process inventory at work centers by delivering and opening materials and supplies.
- Lead and locate and pack materials for shipping.
- Document product shipment by recording units shipped.
- Maintains material-handling equipment by completing pre-use inspections.
- Operate forklift, to move materials onto and off trucks from loading docks.
- Support 5’s and Safety through the plant.
- Learns and adheres to workplace safety regulations.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED preferred but not mandatory.
- Computer corporate inventory management program.
- Lead employees to meet production set target goals.
- Physical ability to maneuver up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to read and follow written instructions.
- Ability to keep neat and accurate records.
- Ability to drive and operate an industrial fork truck.
Must demonstrate good attendance and be willing to work overtime as needed.
