Marine Mechanic - $23.00 - $26.00/hour
Express Employment is seeking a skilled Mechanic in Grand Rapids, MN to inspect, diagnose, and repair various marine engines and systems. This role involves working on inboard/outboard motors, electrical systems, steering, and fuel components for boats of all sizes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and repair marine engines, electrical systems, and hydraulics
- Perform routine maintenance, including oil changes, tune-ups, and inspections
- Troubleshoot and repair fuel, steering, and cooling systems
- Install and test marine accessories and electronic systems
- Conduct performance tests and sea trials
Requirements:
- Marine Mechanic experience or similar role preferred
- Knowledge of marine engines (inboard, outboard, diesel), diagnostics, and repair procedures
- Strong mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting, and attention to detail
- (Preferred) ABYC, Mercury, Yamaha, or other marine manufacturer certifications
- Ability to lift heavy equipment, work in tight spaces, and withstand outdoor conditions
