Job Title: Senior Engineer, Manufacturing and Process Development Engineering

Contingent / Technical Engineering

Work Schedule:

  • Flexible; typically, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM but could work earlier hours like 6am-2:30pm
  • 40 hours per week

Compensation:
Pay Rate Range: $75 - $100 per hour (flexibility for higher rates available)

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Senior Engineer to support production activities through the end of December as part of a site closure project. This role will focus on enhancing manufacturing technologies and fostering collaboration between product development and manufacturing engineering.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive excellence in LEANPD new product development projects and existing manufacturing technologies.
  • Implement new technologies for better process and tolerance control.
  • Act as the liaison between product development and manufacturing engineering, ensuring effective interface.
  • Optimize designs and components for manufacturability, realizing tooling, samples, and prototypes.
  • Design, develop, and qualify tools and processes to meet quality and production standards.
  • Document all processes and tooling in company systems.
  • Support supply chain compliance and capability verification.
  • Initiate and implement programs for continuous improvement in quality, cost-efficiency, and cycle time.
  • Adhere to specifications, regulatory, and customer requirements.

Scope of Impact/Business:

  • Develop product families or manage small to medium-sized projects.
  • Oversee technical elements while maintaining performance and schedule.

Knowledge, Skills & Innovation:

  • Proficient in technical tools relevant to the job function (e.g., CAD, CAE).
  • Familiarity with general engineering tools (e.g., LEAN, 6-sigma).
  • Deep technical knowledge in the relevant product domain.
  • Looking for someone with understanding of extrusion or medical engineering or Palmer experience. 

Qualifications:

  • Minimum education requirement: High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum employment history of 1 year in a related field.
