Express Employment Professionals Forest Lake has partnered with a company in Forest Lake, MN that is hiring for a CNC Programmer position!
As a CNC Programmer, you'll be working in a dynamic and supportive environment where your day will involve programming CNC machines, operating and assisting the Machine Shop Supervisor with task and project direction, problem solving, and completion specific to CNC machine tooling and programs. Responsibilities
· Lead the CNC programming (CNC program is MasterCAM in 3 and 5 axis) for the company, including training, coaching, monitoring, and providing feedback for improvement and problem resolution from the standpoint of CNC capabilities.
· Follow all safety and SOP regulations and procedures, including the company's Performance System.
· Improve the CNC programs (CNC machines, EDM machine, etc.) by debugging old programs, rewriting old programs, and/or adjusting with new tools and speeds.
· Run CNC machines and assist CNC operators in proper machine operation, following all safety, SOP, and ISO standards, including the company's Performance System.
· Support/prepare documents/reports as needed or requested within ERP software, PDM software, JobBOSS software (or similar), including inventory, KPIs, and other reports as needed by the Machine Shop.
· Perform all machinist duties including setups, machining, and quality control checks as needed.
· Perform other duties as requested by management.
Skills
· High school diploma or GED
· Drug screen required
· Proven experience and/or certification in CNC machine operation, Haas machines
· 5+ years programming in MasterCAM, including 3 Axis
· 1+ year EDM setup, operating, and programming experience
· 3+ years Solidworks experience
· Continuous improvement mindset with a strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing tools and principles
· Working knowledge of standard inspection tools
· Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
· Ability to read, write, and speak English
· Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
