Chemical Lab Supervisor / Process Engineer

Job Summary:
The Chemical Process Engineer will design and develop manufacturing processes for printed circuits boards and analyze operations, information to makes changes to procedures as needed to solve problems or improve efficiency. This position will focus on procedures in the company's wet areas - electroless, copper plating, etc.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Participates in the development of manufacturing processes that are applicable to statistical process control to ensure compliance and effective production. Oversees the manufacturing of products, performance, and quality standards are consistently met.
- Develop and maintain manufacturing process standards
- Evaluate and resolve manufacturing issues.
- Provide DFM support for new projects
- Provide engineering support for new projects, processes and equipment
- Ensure training during new/revised production processes
- Understand and review product throughout the production process to ensure final product quality is acceptable
- Review procedures and plans prior to implementation as well as evaluate existing products, processes and materials for failure analysis and potential improvements.
- Apply standard data analysis practices and techniques to establish root cause for product and process failures or to support the justification for improvements to products and processes
- Observe products and processes to recognize discrepancies in results and follow operations throughout a series of detailed steps or processes to establish root cause of the discrepancies
- Evaluate the performance of new processes, equipment and supplies
- Develops and maintains detailed work instructions for assigned products/processes
- Ensure quality expectation are maintained
- Identifies and shares training opportunities for staff to build and improve skills.
- Delivers progress and production reports to management team members as requested.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and managerial skills.
- Thorough understanding of the policies and practices used in the manufacturing.
- Ability to set long-term goals and communicate them to others.
- Ability to motivate and organize multiple efforts to accomplish goals.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a field of Engineering, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or similar.
- MUST HAVE Plating or Chemical Engineering experience
- Due to ITAR Regulations, must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident
