🕒 Full-Time | Monday–Friday

We're seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Transportation Specialist to join our team and ensure the efficient, cost-effective movement of products. This is a dynamic role that combines logistics coordination, customer service, and cross-departmental collaboration—ideal for someone who enjoys both planning and problem-solving in a fast-paced environment.
🚚 Key Responsibilities:

Determine and secure the most cost-effective shipping options for dry and bulk freight

Handle heavy customer interaction via phone, email, and in-person—delivering top-tier service within the scope of your authority

Collaborate with the Marketing Department to support and implement the Fertilizer Program
-
Serve as back-up to the Agronomics Department, providing product application and usage information
-
Resolve shipped quantity discrepancies and process rebilling as needed
-
Verify sales fees, service fees, and rebates before finance processes distributor payments
-
Back up the Transportation Supervisor, including preparing documents and scheduling shipments with approved carriers
-
Calculate freight rates and assist in pricing through the Freight Equalization Program
-
File and process freight claims for lost or damaged shipments

Generate transportation-related reports, such as claims and pick-up point volumes
✅ Qualifications:
-
Minimum 2 years of education from a college, trade school, or business school (or equivalent experience in transportation, logistics, or distribution)

Excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills

Strong organizational and time-management skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel for reporting and tracking)

Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities

Experience in freight coordination or transportation logistics a plus
