NEW OPPORTUNITY! The Production Line Worker is responsible for assisting in the manufacturing process of canned products. This role involves operating machinery, ensuring product quality, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment. The worker will collaborate with team members to meet production targets while adhering to safety and quality standards.

Schedule: Monday - Friday; 7:00am - 3:30pm

Key Responsibilities:

Machine Operation:

  • Operate various machines involved in the salsa production process, including mixers, fillers, and packaging equipment.
  • Monitor machine performance and troubleshoot any issues that arise during operation.

Quality Control:

  • Conduct regular inspections of raw materials and finished products to ensure they meet company quality standards.
  • Report any discrepancies or defects to the supervisor immediately.

Production Monitoring:

  • Assist in setting up production lines for daily operations.
  • Track production output and report on productivity metrics.

Sanitation and Safety:

  • Maintain cleanliness of the production area by following sanitation protocols.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and practices to ensure a safe working environment.

Team Collaboration:

  • Work closely with other team members to achieve daily production goals.
  • Participate in team meetings to discuss improvements in processes or address any concerns.

Inventory Management:

  • Assist in managing inventory levels of raw materials and packaging supplies.
  • Notify supervisors when stock levels are low or when reordering is necessary.

Training and Development:

  • Participate in training sessions for new equipment or processes as required.
  • Stay updated on industry best practices related to food safety and manufacturing processes.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous experience in a food manufacturing environment is required
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
  • Basic understanding of food safety regulations is desirable.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) regularly throughout the shift.
  • Stand for extended periods while performing repetitive tasks.
  • Work in varying temperatures depending on the production area (e.g., coolers).

Work Schedule:

  • Full-time position with potential overtime during peak seasons.
  • Shift hours may vary; flexibility is required.
