The Estimator will be responsible for accurately calculating the cost of materials, labor, and overhead associated with manufacturing projects. This role requires a deep understanding of machining processes, materials, and production timelines to ensure that quotes are competitive and profitable. On-Site/In Office Required Schedule: Monday - Thursday; 6:00am - 4:30pm Responsibilities Review customer drawings, specifications and other technical documents to prepare accurate cost estimates for machining and manufacturing projects. Analyze and calculate costs related to raw materials, labor, tooling, equipment and overhead. Develop and recommend pricing strategies based on market trends, material costs, and production capabilities. work closely with production team to estimate align with manufacturing capabilities and schedules. Respond to RFQ's and ensure all aspects of the job are considered in the estimation process. Prepare detailed and clear proposals, including timelines, costs, and potential risks for clients. Communicate with vendors and suppliers to obtain accurate material and component pricing. Monitor project costs throughout the lifecycle of the job to ensure the work is completed within budget and profitability targets are met. Maintain accurate records of estimates, revisions, and final quotes for future reference. Qualifications Strong understanding of machining processes, materials, and manufacturing techniques (metal manufacturing). Strong mathematical and analytical skills. Excellent communication and negotiation skills. Knowledge of cost structures and pricing strategies in the manufacturing industry. 3-5 years of experience in estimating within a manufacturing or machine shop environment.
