Job Full Description
We are recruiting for a company in Lake City MN In the Receiving Department. This company is known designing, developing, and manufacturing professional-grade material handling and storage solutions in Minnesota since 1953. We are looking for a self-motivated candidate for a Shipping/Receiving and Cabinet Assembly Associate position with a well-known manufacturer in Lake City, MN.
This role involves splitting work time between processing daily shipments of materials and products to and from the facility and facilitating the production of company products and custom orders.
Under the direct supervision of the department supervisor, you will be responsible for shipping and receiving daily shipments, assembling, and packaging orders. Candidates will need to have the following abilities: follow written and verbal directions, keep pace with production expectations, use NetSuite and schedule trucks with minor assistance, operate material handling equipment (including forklifts), work independently or within a team, inspect products for quality assurance and identify any errors, record the accuracy of incoming shipments, document any damages and discrepancies for future reimbursement and reconciliation with minor assistance, and store incoming material and supplies in the correct warehouse.
The work schedule is Monday - Thursday, 5:00 am - 3:30 pm, with a pay rate of $18.00 - $20.00/hr, depending on experience. Preferred candidates will have previous shipping and/or receiving experience, 0-3 years of related experience, and forklift experience. Knowledge of the metalworking industry, equipment, and processes is useful. The ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check is required.
Physical requirements include the ability to sit, stand, kneel, stoop, walk, or sit for long periods, work in inclement conditions (hot and cold), and lift up to 50 lbs. Performance will be measured by attendance, quality, downtime, and safety.

- Previous shipping and/or receiving experience preferred
- Ability to sit, stand, kneel, stoop, walk, or sit for long periods of time
- Capable of working in inclement conditions (hot and cold)
- Physically capable of lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs.
