Tool Maker
Pine Island, MN
1st Shift
Pay: $25-$35/hour, based on experience
We are seeking qualified Plater to join this leading manufacturing company in Pine Island, MN!
Job Duties:
- Builds and/or repairs tooling according to engineering or customer quality, dimensional, and tolerance specifications.
- Uses a variety of machines to produce product; performs all machine set up and machining operations.
- Performs highly skilled fitting, adjusting, and timing procedures.
- Develops designs and devises and utilizes non-standard procedures for parts as required.
- Makes decisions regarding materials and supplies to be used with input from Engineering and Production.
- Sketches designs as needed and performs mathematical calculations for the development process.
- Performs a variety of miscellaneous machining operations which require advanced knowledge of fabrication techniques, tools, materials, and equipment.
- Provide input to the engineering department on tool design enhancements to improve quality and/or performance and reduce costs.
- Provide support to manufacturing as needed for tool repairs and modifications.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Participate in continuous improvement activities
- Could potentially come in contact with hazardous chemicals.
- Any other tasks as required fulfilling Lincoln Industries' Beliefs and Drivers.
Requirements:
- Post high school education in tool and die or equivalent experience.
- 5 years machine shop, metal work experience resulting in a good working knowledge of machines and their capabilities.
- Working knowledge of advanced shop math.
- Ability to use precision measuring instruments.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
