Job Full Description
Welder
Express Employment Professionals – St. Paul, MN is assisting a small manufacturing company to fill several welding positions on their team. Position is located in the South metro.
Pay: $20 – 24/hour DOE
Schedule: 1st Shift Monday – Friday 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM
2nd Shift Monday – Friday 2:30 PM – 1:00 AM
Responsibilities include:
- Perform MIG welding based on product needs, welding round and rectangular elements.
- Read and interpret project plans, blueprints, and other written instructions and diagrams to
perform the necessary task.
- Knowledge of QC and product specifications.
- De-bur and grind metal as necessary to achieve proper surface texture.
- Knowledge of welding safety procedures and willingness to use PPEs provided.
- Other duties as assigned.
Skills & Requirements:
- High School Diploma.
- Certification in welding from a recognized technical institute or trade school is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.
- Good problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Ability to use welding equipment and related tools effectively and safely.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Experience in using electrical or manual tools (grinders, saws, squares, calipers etc.)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Welding certification a plus.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. individually and heavier items with a team lift.
