Express Employment Professionals in Woodbury, Mn is seeking a Skilled Maintenance Technician for a growing company in the East  Metro!

 

Pay: $32-36 per hour, DOE

Schedule: 645am to 3pm Monday - Friday

-Overtime required at times

This position does require a drug screen and background check before start

Primary Purpose:

This role supports our Quality Management System by adhering to company policies, working cooperatively with colleagues, sharing crucial information, and providing exceptional customer service to both internal and external clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Equipment Adjustment and Maintenance: Make necessary adjustments, minor repairs, and changeovers to ensure product quality and meet production standards.
  • Installation and Setup: Safely install, set up, and maintain production machines and equipment, including performing electrical and mechanical repairs.
  • Operational Readiness: Install, repair, and maintain industrial production and processing machinery and equipment, applying practical mechanics.
  • Defect Evaluation and Repair: Identify and replace defective machine components, ensuring operational efficiency.
  • Diagnostic Analysis: Analyze test results and machine error messages to diagnose equipment problems.
  • Operational Knowledge: Maintain expertise in safe startup, shutdown, and operation of production and auxiliary equipment.
  • Setup and Changeovers: Perform equipment setups and changeovers to achieve acceptable product quality.
  • Reassembly and Testing: Reassemble equipment post-repair, ensuring safety protocols are followed and repairs are verified.
  • Preventive Maintenance: Conduct routine preventive maintenance to ensure smooth operation of machines and building systems.
  • Routine Inspections: Perform inspections of machines and finished parts using precise measuring instruments.
  • Metal Work: Cut and weld metal to repair or fabricate parts and assemble new equipment.
  • Blueprint Utilization: Use blueprints and manuals to ensure correct installation and operation of machinery.
  • Team Support: Assist other production team members with timely machine maintenance.
  • Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the enhancement of overall plant operations.
  • Safety Leadership: Promote and adhere to all safety and GMP policies and procedures.
  • Documentation: Complete necessary paperwork accurately and promptly.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED, with over 5 years of relevant experience in a machine shop or manufacturing environment, preferably in the plastics industry.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and communicate effectively.
  • Proficiency in problem-solving, deductive and inductive reasoning, and information ordering.
  • Competency in basic mathematics and unit conversions.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and basic computer skills.
  • Skills in metalworking, mechanics, machining, and troubleshooting.
  • Preferred experience in hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
