Express Employment Professionals in Woodbury, Mn is seeking a 2nd shift Plasma Operator for a great company in the East Metro Area!!
Pay: $21.75 per hour
Schedule:
- 2nd shift: 3pm to 11pm Monday - Friday
- Must have previous Welding, Burn Table or CNC experience. Overhead crane experience preferred.
- Drug screen conducted before start

Hiring for a Plasma/Burn Table Operator. Looking for someone with some burn table operating experience. Must be able to read and understand measuring tools and operate overhead crane and forklift.
Duties include: Plasma/Burn Table Operator.
- Loads equipment with product using the overhead crane and/or forklift in order to prepare the equipment for an accurate cut.
- Removes materials using overhead crane from burn table after cutting and handles it according to router instructions.
- prepares equipment to cut material by downloading or programming the computer according to customer specifications.
- Packages material for shipping when needed.
- Measures material before/after cutting to ensure compliance with customer specifications.
- Completes inspection reports after inspecting and measuring material.
- Performs preventive maintenance as needed.
Knowledge, Abilities, Skills: Plasma/Burn Table Operator.
- A minimum of one (1) year previous burn table work experience is preferred.
- Ability to read and understand measuring tools and equipment such as a tape measure, calipers and micrometer.
- Ability to safely operate overhead cranes and forklifts.
- Ability to perform math including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division of fractions as well as convert fractions to decimals or vice versa.
- Ability to recognize and interpret colors according to the company's classification system.
- Ability to lift and move up to 75 pounds, as well as lift and move heavier objects with the assistance of cranes, forklifts, or another employee.
- Knowledge of general shop procedures and rules including safety precautions.
- Ability and willingness to cooperate with co-workers and work as part of a production team.
