Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Drafter with proficiency in Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in creating accurate 3D models and 2D technical drawings for mechanical components and assemblies. This role will involve collaborating closely with engineers and production teams to support the design and manufacturing process.

Key Responsibilities:


•    3D Modeling & Design:
o    Develop detailed 3D models of parts, assemblies, and products using Autodesk Inventor.
o    Modify and optimize designs based on feedback or project requirements.

•    2D Drafting & Technical Drawings:
o    Create precise 2D drawings from 3D models, including dimensions, tolerances, and annotations.
o    Ensure all drawings adhere to company standards and industry best practices.

•   Bill of Materials (BOM):
o    Generate and maintain accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs) for each project.
o    Track part numbers, quantities, and material specifications.

•    Collaboration & Communication:
o    Work closely with engineers and project managers to understand project scope and design intent.
o    Assist in troubleshooting design and production-related issues.

•    File Management & Documentation:
o    Maintain organized and up-to-date design files, drawings, and documentation.
o    Provide necessary documentation to support manufacturing and prototyping.

•    Simulation & Testing (Optional):
o    Utilize Autodesk Inventor’s simulation tools (e.g., stress analysis, motion simulation) to test designs when applicable.

•    Continuous Improvement:
o    Stay updated on Autodesk Inventor features and best practices and contribute to process improvements within the drafting team.

Qualifications:


•    Education:
o    Associate's degree in Drafting, Mechanical Design, or a related field (preferred).

•    Experience:
o    3+ years of drafting experience, specifically using Autodesk Inventor.
o    Experience with 3D modeling, assembly design, and generating technical drawings.

•   Skills:
o    Proficiency in Autodesk Inventor (required), AutoCAD (required), or other CAD software (a plus).
o    Strong understanding of drafting standards, dimensioning, and tolerances.
o    Knowledge of mechanical design principles and manufacturing processes.
o    Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
o    Ability to work both independently and in a collaborative team environment.

•    Additional Qualifications:
o    Familiarity with creating and managing Bills of Materials (BOM).
o    Experience in sheet metal design, welded assemblies, or complex mechanical systems (a plus).
