Job Summary
We are seeking a Cook Assistant to join our team for one our schools. The Cook Assistant will report directly to the Head Cook.

Duties

Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and menu plans.
Ensure all food is prepared in a safe, sanitary manner following food handling guidelines.
Assist in menu planning, including seasonal offerings and special dietary needs.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including cooking equipment and utensils.
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during meal periods.
Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, placing orders as necessary.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee must have the ability to lift items weighing up to 50 lbs.. with assistants.

Requirements:

Must have a high school diploma or GED
Must take a TB Skin test
Must have an updated physical, dated in this current year
2 Years of Experience in food service preparation, quantity cooking and menu planning.
Participate in staff meetings, parent meetings, and training sessions.
Must Pass Criminal Background and Child Abuse Central Registry Check.
