Job Responsibilities
- Measure and mark materials for accurate cuts using rulers, measuring tapes, or other tools.
- Inspect materials for defects and ensure they meet required specifications.
- Adjust saw settings (e.g., speed, depth of cut) as necessary to ensure quality and efficiency.
- Follow blueprints or work orders to cut materials to specific dimensions.
- Perform routine maintenance on saw equipment, such as cleaning, oiling, and replacing worn parts.
- Ensure the safe operation of saw equipment by following safety protocols, including the use of protective gear and proper handling of materials.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to supervisors.
