Job Details

Position: Quality Manager     Pay: $75,000-80,000

Plant looking to hire a quality manager to perform the following duties and functions:

• Manage quality team activities and functions
• Work to resolve quality issues and create/implement corrective and preventive measures on raw materials, plant production, and imported finished goods warehoused at plant.
• Coordinate ISO 9001 internal audit team activities
• Complete corrective action reports, product alerts/print change requests, and other quality-related documentation as warranted.
• Maintain quality-related data as warranted.
• Conduct roving inspections and product measurements as needed to ensure customer specifications are met.
• Formulate control plans, process analysis-related documentation as needed.
• Function as plant quality representative for supplier audits, customer audits, and other customer contacts.
• Participate in quality review team meetings and other meetings as needed.
• Act as encouraging, positive role model for corporate culture.

Education, Experience, Knowledge and Skills

• Bachelor's degree, preferably in a scientific, technical, or engineering discipline.
• 3 plus years experience supervising quality assurance or quality control personnel in labor-intensive manufacturing and/or QC test lab environment.  Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 or related international quality management standard (QMS) internal auditing experience preferred.  
• Specialized knowledge: ASQ certification (CMQ/OE, CQE, CQA, etc) desirable but not required.  Working knowledge of Office Suite required.  Basic knowledge of process analysis documentation preferred.
• Knowledge of how to read technical drawings and work instructions required.  Basic knowledge of lean manufacturing techniques preferred.
• 5-7 years of supervisory experience
