Job Full Description
We are seeking a compassionate individual to fill our Warehouse Floor Supervisor role. The Warehouse Floor Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations on the warehouse floor, specifically managing a team of adults with physical or mental disabilities in a low-risk warehouse and fulfillment setting. This individual will coordinate workflow, ensure tasks are completed efficiently, and provide general supervision and guidance to team members. The supervisor will also perform quality checks, ensure tasks are performed correctly, and offer support as needed, creating a positive, inclusive work environment for all individuals.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee daily work assignments for the team, ensuring that the tasks are appropriately matched to the skill sets of everyone.
• Coordinate and set up the work environment for the day, ensuring that all materials, equipment, and tools are available and ready for use.
• Provide general oversight and support to a group of individuals with physical or mental disabilities, most of whom are highly functioning and capable of performing their job tasks independently.
• Offer guidance and clarification of tasks, as needed, while maintaining a positive and supportive work atmosphere.
• Encourage and promote team building, collaboration, and a positive workplace culture.
• Perform cross-checking and quality assurance on tasks completed by team members to ensure accuracy and compliance with company standards.
• Identify and address any errors or discrepancies in work output, ensuring that tasks meet all operational and safety guidelines.
• Provide on-the-job training to new and existing team members, ensuring they understand job duties, processes, and safety protocols.
Qualifications:
• At least 2 years of supervisory experience, preferably in a warehouse or fulfillment setting
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Willing to submit to drug and background screening
• Experience working with individuals with physical or mental disabilities is highly desirable but not required
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with individuals of varying abilities and backgrounds
• Patience, empathy, and a proactive approach to managing diverse teams
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to perform physical tasks associated with warehouse operations (lifting, walking, standing for extended periods)
