Job Full Description
Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Residential Aide to join our team. The Residential Aide will provide support and assistance to residents in a residential care setting.
Hours: The scheduled PRN resident manager shift is on Saturdays from 6:45a-7:15p. May also have the chance to pick up extra shifts as a fill in.
Duties:
- Assist residents with daily medication intake.
- Ensure residents' safety and well-being at all times.
- Document all medication intake.
- Call pharmacy to refill prescriptions.
- Engage residents in social activities and provide companionship.
- Document resident interactions and any observed changes in behavior or health
Qualifications:
- Knowledge of resident rights and ability to uphold them
- Experience in social work, long-term care, or related field preferred
- Familiarity with medication administration protocols
- Ability to provide compassionate caregiving services
- Understanding of home care practices
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is beneficial
- Strong cleaning skills to maintain a sanitary environment
- Must obtain and maintain medication certificate while employed. (Medication administration certificate is preferred but not required. Will have med classes, for certifications.)
