Member Services Representative
Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated Member Services Representative to assist our members with financial transactions, including receiving and paying out cash and other negotiable instruments. This role involves a variety of tasks to ensure smooth and efficient operations within our Credit Union.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
- Receive and process customer financial transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, and loan payments
- Sell money orders and travelers checks
- Transfer amounts between member accounts as directed
- Balance cash drawer and daily transactions
- Verify and post transactions to member accounts
- Maintain member and Credit Union records
- Greet members, provide routine information about services, and direct members to appropriate departments
- Cross-sell Credit Union products and services
- Perform miscellaneous tasks such as filing, copying, data input, and answering the telephone
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned
Performance Measurements:
- Provide friendly, professional, personal, and confidential service to all members and associates.
- Balance cash drawer daily in accordance with Credit Union policies and procedures.
- Accurately post transactions in accordance with Credit Union procedures.
- Troubleshoot and resolve member and internal inquiries in a timely, friendly, and accurate manner.
- Proactively seek opportunities to identify appropriate products and services for the benefit of the member.
- Maintain a dependable record of attendance and timeliness.
- Maintain a professional work environment and businesslike appearance.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Experience: One month to twelve months of similar or related experience.
