Role Summary
As the BOM Specialist, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining the accuracy and integrity of all Bills of Materials (BOM). You’ll work collaboratively across teams, bridging engineering, production, materials, planning, and sales to ensure seamless communication and alignment with product requirements. This role demands a proactive, team-oriented individual capable of making hands-on contributions while driving efficiency and accuracy in production processes.
Key Responsibilities
- BOM Management: Create, update, and maintain accurate Bills of Materials for all products, ensuring they reflect the latest product specifications and engineering changes.
- Process Documentation: Develop and manage detailed documentation for BOM processes, ensuring that all changes are clearly documented and effectively communicated to relevant teams.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate with Materials, Planning, and Sales departments to ensure tools and materials are carefully planned and delivered on schedule.
- Performance Monitoring: Track and report on schedule performance daily/weekly and implement recovery plans as needed to meet production goals.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience working with and understanding Engineering Bills of Materials.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in manufacturing, engineering, or a related field.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to review documents for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company standards.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with Engineering and Production teams.
