Express Employment Professionals is assisting a local lawn care company in their search for a Licensed Applicator. This position will be responsible for working on-site with clients, so professionalism, responsibility, and punctuality are key! Finding a great culture fit is key to this company, and they are willing to assist the right candidate in obtaining licensure if necessary. This is a day shift, evaluation-to-hire opportunity with pay ranging from $18-30/hr depending on experience!
Position Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
- Apply pesticides, herbicides, and fertilizers to lawns and landscapes according to established guidelines and client instructions
- Conduct thorough inspections of properties to identify present and potential pest issues
- Make recommendations for treatment solutions
- Maintain accurate records of treatments performed (including the chemicals used and the treated areas)
- Provide excellent customer service in order to understand client needs and ensure all issues have been resolved
- Other duties as assigned
Education/Skills/Experience:
- Applicants must have been employed in their most recent position for a minimum of 1 year in order to be considered for this position
- Previous experience in lawn care, landscaping, horticulture, pest control, or a related field required
- Valid Driver’s License required
- Strong understanding of pest control methods, landscape maintenance, and safety regulations required
- Must be able to work both independently and as part of a team
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus!
Schedule/Pay:
- Monday through Friday from 7:30am – 6:00pm (or until jobs are completed)
- Potential Saturday overtime required, especially if jobs have been delayed due to inclement weather
- Pay between $18-30/hr depending on skills, experience, education, certifications, etc.
- Employees paid weekly!
