Do you have experience with buying or purchasing in an industrial environment? Do you enjoy work that is highly detail-oriented?
Express Employment Professionals is partnering with a local company to help fill a full-time Direct hire Buyer position! We are looking for candidates that have high attention to detail and enjoy busy work. The work schedule is Monday-Friday from 8:00am-4:30pm and will pay up t$65,000/yr.
Position Essential Responsibilities/Duties:
- Source for required stock and make sure everything is done accurately
- Maintain inventory levels by using master data from SAP
- Responsible for procurement of all required maintenance materials
- Source and process all one-time buys
- Maintain an open order report to ensure that deliveries are sent out on time
- Negotiate with suppliers
- Record and report all cost savings
- Process all on-site billing
- Work with corporate A/P to resolve discrepancies
Education/Skills/Experience:
- Must have previous experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting
- 2+ years of experience working in Purchasing or Buyer role
- 1+ years of experience with supplier/vendor relationships
- Familiar with using complex software and proficient using Excel, SAP, and billing software
- Able to multitask and work with the internal team to ensure things are done correctly
- Wants long-term employment and potential growth within the company
Schedule/Pay:
- Monday through Friday from 8:00am - 4:30pm
- Pay up to $65,000/yr.
