Production Supervisor – 2nd and 3rd shift
Express Employment Professionals is seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to join a manufacturing company in North Omaha.
Position Details:
• Type: Evaluation Hire/Direct Hire
• Schedule: 2nd or 3rd shift
• Location: Omaha, NE
• Pay/Salary: $30+/hour
Job Duties:
• Supervise and lead a team of production workers, including scheduling, training, and performance management.
• Ensure that production processes are running efficiently and effectively, meeting or exceeding production targets.
• Monitor and enforce adherence to safety regulations, quality standards, and company policies.
• Identify and address production issues promptly to minimize downtime and maintain workflow.
• Collaborate with other departments (e.g., maintenance, quality control) to resolve production-related challenges.
• Conduct regular inspections of equipment and machinery to ensure proper functioning and initiate repairs or maintenance as needed.
• Prepare and maintain production reports and documentation, including tracking metrics and performance data.
• Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a supervisory role within a manufacturing or production environment.
• Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and guide staff.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to overcoming challenges.
• Knowledge of production processes, safety regulations, and quality control standards.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with production management software (e.g., ERP systems) is a plus.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization.
