A Newburyport MA company is looking for a Material Handler/Receiver for their growing company!
Job Functions and Responsibilities:
- Operate forklift only after proper training and approval by the Shop Foreman.
- Shipper/Receiver receives materials and checks delivery slips against Purchase Order slip.
- Label materials according
- Places received materials in receiving area.
- Cycle Materials accordingly to ensure proper stacking and bunking
- Monitor ship dates of materials and ensure materials are on schedule.
- Deliver requested materials punctually, safely, and without incident to designated area.
- Periodically provide a list of materials from completed jobs for transfer/return
- Maintain General Inventory of shop items per list
Physical Requirements
- Lifting, pushing, and/or moving heavy objects
- Walking, standing (on concrete floor for more than 8 hours per day), bending, stretching, reaching, and twisting
- Manual hand use
- Exposure to dust, noise, fumes, and odors
Needed Tools List:
General maintenance tools, hammer, tape measure, utility knife, cordless screw gun
This individual must be: reliable, punctual, have a strong work ethic, and be self motivated.
*This is a full time position, M-F, pay will vary based on experience.
