American Industrial Supply is a pipe, valve and fitting distributor that has customers in NJ, NY, PA, CT, DE. Transport pipe, valves, fittings and various other supplies to customers as well as picking up materials from vendors. We are looking for a highly motivated, customer driven and safe driver. Must be able to secure marital properly on the truck.
Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
• Safely drives truck to destination and MUST BE ABLE TO RIG Material to the flatbeds.
• Ensures orders are delivered quickly and as safely as possible.
• Checks over orders with the Warehouse Dispatch Manager before leaving for a delivery run to verify that paperwork and material match.
• Reports all traffic violations and accidents to the Warehouse Dispatch Manager.
• Assists warehouse personnel at any time necessary with an order such as pulling or putting away material and servicing walk-in customers.
• Ensures the upkeep of all trucks. This includes, but is not limited to, notifying the Warehouse Dispatch Manager of any needed scheduled maintenance or problems that may need attention (ex. tire wear, dents, scratches, broken windows, loose parts etc).
• Removes trash from the cab and bed every night before keys are handed in.
• Ensures that pallets are returned back to the designated area.
• Ensures that insurance and registration records are all up to date and other paperwork is in order in the truck.
