Job Full Description
Our Client in Edison NJ is looking for a Shipping Lead.
Pay$25-$27 Shift 9-530PM
Key Duties will be as follows:
1. Responsible for coordinating the operations of the Shipping Department to ensure all deadlines are met.
2. Work with both Warehouse and Production Teams to pull work orders and maintain daily records for process completed paperwork in various systems to ensure proper routing and carrier details are selected.
3. Preparing and schedule all shipments for each individual carrier LTL & FTL.
4. Communicate with the CSR and the various carriers to provide the necessary information required to ensure proper routings based on the shipping guidelines and requirements.
5. Coordinates and oversees all international orders.
6. Keep organized daily logs & spreadsheets detailing daily shipments and fork truck inspections.
7. Answering and assisting office personnel in email & phone inquiries including: expedited/priority/international orders.
8. Oversee and assist all functions related to Warehouse dock staff and loading/unloading procedures.
9. Coordinate various outbound dedicated weekly trucks.
10. Coordinate weekly customer pick up lists received from interplant transfer trucks.
11. Maintain plant 5S standards to ensure a safe plant environment including but not limited to practicing good housekeeping, cleanliness, and proper tool and equipment storage.
12. Keep organization of finished goods and products in staging area daily.
13. Lead root cause analysis for any issues that arise to drive corrective actions.
14. Assist in monthly safety audits when assigned
15. Participate in continuous improvement and safety programs such as Suggestion program, We Care, Caught in the Act, Gemba walks, etc.…
16. Perform other duties as assign by the Leadership Team.
