Job Summary:
We are seeking skilled and detail-oriented CNC Machinists to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidates will be responsible for operating, setting up, and programming CNC machines to produce high-quality components that meet precise specifications. This role requires technical expertise, a commitment to safety, and the ability to troubleshoot and optimize machining processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Setup and Operation: Set up and operate CNC machines (lathes, mills, or grinders) to manufacture parts according to specifications.
- Programming: Create, adjust, and optimize CNC programs using G-code and CAD/CAM software.
- Quality Assurance: Inspect and measure finished parts to ensure they meet blueprint and engineering requirements using precision tools (calipers, micrometers, etc.).
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve machining issues, making necessary adjustments to improve efficiency and quality.
- Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on machines and tools to ensure safe and reliable operation.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of machine settings, adjustments, and production runs.
- Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, quality assurance, and production teams to ensure seamless workflows and on-time delivery of parts.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a CNC Machinist or similar role.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD/CAM software.
- Strong understanding of machining techniques and materials.
- Familiarity with G-code, M-code, and CNC programming.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Ability to use and maintain precision measuring tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or apprenticeship in machining is a plus.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with specific CNC brands or models (e.g., Haas, Fanuc, Mazak).
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma principles.
- Familiarity with advanced materials and processes, such as composites or exotic metals.
