Job Full Description
We are looking for a Machine Operator to join our production team. The Machine Operator will be responsible for operating and maintaining machinery used in the manufacturing of precision plastic and rubber components. This role requires attention to detail, the ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues, and a commitment to safety and quality in a fast-paced production environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate manufacturing machines, including injection molding, thermoforming, or other production equipment, based on production requirements.
- Monitor machine operations to ensure efficient and accurate production while adhering to established safety and quality standards.
- Inspect raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products to ensure they meet quality specifications.
- Adjust machine settings, feed rates, and tooling to maintain production efficiency and meet product specifications.
- Troubleshoot and resolve machine malfunctions or errors, working with maintenance personnel when necessary.
- Document production runs, machine settings, and any issues encountered, following company guidelines.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring all tools and machines are in good working order.
- Ensure proper packaging of finished products for shipment, ensuring they meet quality standards.
- Collaborate with supervisors, quality control, and other team members to address production issues and improve processes.
- Follow all safety procedures and practices, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Perform routine machine maintenance tasks, including cleaning and minor adjustments.
- Assist in training new machine operators when needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in manufacturing or related field is preferred.
- Proven experience as a machine operator, ideally in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Familiarity with injection molding, thermoforming, or other relevant manufacturing processes.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues.
- Good attention to detail and the ability to follow specific instructions and production schedules.
- Basic computer skills to input production data and adjust machine settings.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
Working Conditions:
- Full-time, day or shift work as required.

- Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
