Job Title: Metal Fabricator
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Metal Fabricator to join our client. In this role, you will be responsible for cutting, shaping, welding, and assembling metal components according to blueprints, specifications, and project requirements. You will use various tools and machinery to ensure high-quality fabrication and meet production deadlines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints or technical drawings to understand project requirements and dimensions.
- Measure and cut metal pieces using hand tools, saws, grinders, and other machinery.
- Weld metal parts using various techniques such as MIG, TIG, or Stick welding.
- Assemble metal components into finished products or structures.
- Operate and maintain fabrication equipment like CNC machines, plasma cutters, and brake presses.
- Ensure quality control by inspecting finished products for adherence to specifications and safety standards.
- Collaborate with engineers, designers, and other team members to meet project goals.
- Maintain a safe work environment by following all safety procedures, using personal protective equipment (PPE), and ensuring proper handling of materials.
- Troubleshoot issues in the fabrication process and perform maintenance on equipment when needed.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a metal fabricator or in a similar role.
- Proficiency in welding and metalworking techniques (MIG, TIG, Stick, etc.).
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
- Familiarity with fabrication tools, equipment, and machinery (e.g., saws, grinders, plasma cutters).
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy materials.
- Excellent communication skills.
Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent; a technical certification or vocational training in metal fabrication is preferred.
- Previous experience in metal fabrication or welding is highly desirable.
