Job Full Description
Express Employment Professionals are seeking 2nd Shift Machine Operators for a book manufacturer in Depew, NY. This is an excellent temp-to-hire opportunity!
Hours: Mon-Fri 2:15pm-10:45pm
Pay Rate: $18/hr +.75 shift differential
Job Description:
- Set up and operate the bindery equipment and guillotine cutter station
- Performs continuous inspections on trimming, gluing, cover placement, cooling and cutting functions to ensure productivity targets and quality standards.
- Ensures that covers are adhering to book
- Conducts machine changeovers throughout the day
- Troubleshoots equipment and makes minor repairs as needed. Alert supervisor of any technical problems.
- Palletizes finished product
- Maintain various reports including time and production records as needed
- Perform other tasks as assigned by supervisor
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 6 months to 1 year of machine operating experience (high-speed machine experience highly preferred)
- Mechanically inclined
- Ability to work under pressure, in a fast passed environment, multi-tasking, with strong attention to detail
