Office Clerk needed for a Chemical Company in downtown Buffalo, NY!
This is for a 3-6 month contract position with the potential to be permanent.
Pay: $19/hour
Hours: 7:30am-4:00pm/Mon-Thurs & 7:00am-3:30pm/Fri
Summary
Compiles and maintains records of business transactions and office activities of establishment.
Essential Responsibilities of the Office Clerk:
- Prepares outgoing mail and correspondence, including e-mail and faxes.
- Receptionist and Customer Service duties (including counter sales, phone inquiries)
- Order processing: informs customers of unit prices, shipping date, anticipated delays, and any additional information needed by customer.
- Prepares bills of lading’s with chemical's proper shipping descriptions and lists weight.
- Operates office machines such as computer, typewriter, adding, calculating, and duplicating machines.
- Files materials into appropriate filing systems.
Requirements of the Office Clerk:
- Previous office experience required
- Previous experience in order processing / shipping
- Computer knowledge (Microsoft Excel primarily)
- Customer service
- Ability to multitask
