Express Employment is working with a local company looking to add an experienced Office Clerk to their administrative team!

 

The ideal candidate will assist in day-to-day office operations, ensure timely customer payments, and help maintain accurate financial records. Strong communication and follow-up skills are essential for success in this role.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process and post incoming payments accurately and in a timely manner

  • Monitor customer accounts to identify outstanding balances

  • Initiate collection calls and emails to follow up on past-due invoices

  • Maintain records of collection activity and payment status

  • Prepare and send customer statements and invoices

  • Assist with account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies

  • Provide general administrative support including filing, data entry, and answering phones

  • Support other office staff as needed

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s degree in accounting or related field a plus)

  • 1–2 years of experience in an office environment, preferably with accounts receivable or billing

  • Strong communication and customer service skills

  • Basic understanding of accounting principles and collections practices

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); experience with accounting software a plus

  • High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines

This is an in-person position working Monday - Friday 7:30a - 4pm 

Pay based on experience level starting at $20/hr
