Express Employment Professionals is hiring for Property Maintenance Technicians. This is a full time position. Monday - Friday. 7AM - 3:30PM. Some on call and weekend hours required if hired on. $20/hr.
Summary
The Property Maintenance Technician is responsible for the day-to-day maintenance and repair of apartment buildings and grounds. This includes responding to maintenance requests from tenants and property management staff, conducting regular inspections to identify and address maintenance issues, and performing various maintenance tasks, such as plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry work.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Respond to maintenance requests from tenants and property management staff in a timely and professional manner.
- Conduct regular inspections of units and common areas to identify and address maintenance issues.
- Perform various maintenance tasks, including but not limited to:
- Plumbing repairs: fixing leaky faucets, toilets, and sinks; unclogging drains, etc.
- Electrical repairs: replacing light bulbs and fixtures, repairing switches and outlets, etc.
- HVAC repairs: fixing air conditioners and heaters, replacing filters, etc.
- Carpentry repairs: fixing doors, windows, and cabinets; replacing flooring, etc.
- Assist with the preparation of vacant units for new tenants, including cleaning, painting, and minor repairs.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed.
- Ensure that all work is completed in compliance with safety regulations and building codes.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Property Manager or supervisor.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1-2 years of experience in property maintenance or a related field.
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry work.
- Ability to use and maintain common maintenance tools and equipment.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent customer service skills.
