Job Full Description
Express Employment is seeking candidates interested in plastic manufacturing. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining injection molding machines to produce high-quality plastic parts according to customer specifications and production schedules. This is a first shift. Monday - Thursday 6am-4:30pm. $16+ DOE
Key Responsibilities:
- Machine Operation:
- Set up and operate injection molding machines, including adjusting temperature, pressure, and cycle times.
- Monitor machine performance and troubleshoot minor issues.
- Ensure efficient and safe operation of equipment.
- Quality Control:
- Inspect parts for defects such as flashing, short shots, and dimensional inaccuracies.
- Utilize measuring and inspection tools to ensure conformance to quality standards.
- Document production data and identify areas for improvement.
- Material Handling:
- Load and unload materials from machines.
- Transport and store materials properly.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Safety:
- Adhere to all safety policies and procedures.
- Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
- Report any safety hazards or concerns immediately.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Participate in process improvement initiatives.
- Suggest and implement solutions to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions.
- Basic math and computer skills.
- Work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Lift, push and carry heavy objects.
