Job Title: Wash Off Technician
Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Wash Off Technician to join our repair team. The ideal candidate will determine whether a piece sent to the repair section requires washing off (removal of finish) or if it can be repaired directly. This role is crucial in maintaining the quality and efficiency of our repair processes.
Key Responsibilities:

Evaluate pieces sent for repair to ascertain if the finish needs to be removed or if direct repairs can be made.

Decide whether to wash off the part or the entire case, based on the condition and requirements of the piece.

Document and remark defects after the finish has been removed.

For non-removable parts that require washing off, tape off the areas appropriately and perform the wash off using a bucket and rags.

Conduct repairs on defects after the finish is removed.

Manage the cleaning process by draining, refilling, and maintaining the wash off bucket as needed.

Pump materials from the pump house to the wash off bucket efficiently.

Dispose of used rags and materials in compliance with safety and environmental regulations on a daily basis.
Qualifications:

Minimum of 1 year of experience in Whitewood repair and wash off processes.

Proficient in the use of various types of sanders (e.g., jitterbug, orbital).

Strong attention to detail and ability to identify defects effectively.

Good organizational skills to maintain cleanliness and safety in the workspace.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
