Marketing Director
Job Description
Express Employment Professionals is looking for a marketing manager who is a highly motivated team player and who is well organized with a positive attitude. The Marketing Manager is responsible for the design and execution of marketing strategies with the purpose of growing its brand while remaining within mortgage compliance.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Adhere to compliance laws as they apply to marketing in the mortgage industry.
- Manage the brand image, brand standards and brand reputation.
- Set and manage marketing strategy, utilizing creative design.
- Review and manage co-sponsored/co-marketed events, ad campaigns, sponsorships and opportunities.
- Support sales staff marketing needs.
- Oversee and manage the budget plan.
- Oversee and execute web structure and web marketing strategy.
- Analyze, research and make recommendations for systems and projects that can decrease spending, increase efficiency, and/or grow revenue in line with company goals.
- Review web and marketing campaign performance, calculate ROI’s and make suggestions for improvements.
- Conduct training webinars and write training and coaching pieces as needed.
- Manage and maintain the employee intranet.
- Monitor web traffic and take proactive actions to boost traffic in slow times (i.e., enhancing PPC, social blogging, and promoting ads on social media).
- Oversee the social strategy for business home office and loan officers.
- Proactively manage online reputation and reviews and track and resolve customer complaints.
- Research competitors and proactively market to counter competitor strategies.
- Stay abreast of changes in marketing and the digital world, research new advertising opportunities and eliminate underperforming campaigns.
- Coordinate and participate in trade shows.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field
- Minimum of 3 years marketing experience
- Proven skills and knowledge in creative design
- Valid Driver’s License
Desired Characteristics
- Real Estate or Mortgage industry experience
- Experience with Encompass
- Technical experience with:
- Adobe Creative Suite (Full suite)
- MS Office
- Graphic design/ layout experience
- Knowledgeable in social media and social advertising. Knows how to write a strategy, how to build an audience, how to engage with customers and how to brand on social media
- Knowledgeable in digital marketing including PPC and web SEO, and best practices
- Knowledgeable in Google algorithm updates and the potential impacts
- Educated on best practices relating to web design and lead conversion
- Understanding of and ability to use Google Analytics
- Understanding of general PPC management, dayparting, search partners, display ads, etc
- Understanding of cloud phones and VOIP
- Understanding of web structure, National Site, Local Search, Sub Directories and Sub Domains
- Understanding of host server file structure and ability to manage DNS if needed (Digital vendor does most of this.)
- Understanding of various web strategies such as ecommerce, local, search pack, and service area
- Understands blogging, cross blogging and social blog sharing
- Familiar with online tools and resources used for research
- Familiar with Google Search Console
- Understanding of compliance laws as they apply to marketing in the mortgage industry
- Experience with lead generation from social media

Working Conditions
May be required to work occasional evening and weekend hours.
Job located in Wilmington, NC in Office
Monday – Friday 8:30am – 5:30pm
