Job Full Description
As a Title Clerk you will be responsible for handling the processing of vehicle titles, registrations and related documentation. You will work closely with auctions, state agencies and our centralized accounting team to ensure compliance with all regulations and to facilitate smooth transactions. You'll work closely with both our accounting team and other departments to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
· Process vehicle title applications and registrations for new and used vehicles
· Prepare and submit necessary documentation to state and local agencies
· Verify and maintain accurate records of all title registration transactions
· Monitor and resolve any title discrepancies or issues
· Stay updated on state and federal regulations regarding vehicle titles and registrations
· Maintain a well-organized filling system for all title-related documents
· Maintain organized filing systems for financial records, documents, and reports.
· Other accounting and administrative duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associates degree in Accounting or related field preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping, preferably in an automotive or retail environment.
- Proficiency with accounting software (QuickBooks, ADP, or similar tools; experience with dealership-specific software is a plus).
- Notary Certification
- Strong attention to detail with an ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a small, close-knit team.
- Ability to handle high-pressure situations and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information with integrity.
- Knowledge of automotive dealership operations and vehicle financing preferred but not required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week Monday to Friday
