Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated, full-time Level 1-2 Support Specialist & System Administrator. This role involves troubleshooting hardware and software issues, managing IT infrastructure, and assisting users with technical problems. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, a customer-focused mindset, and experience working with Windows and MacOS.
Key Responsibilities:
Technical Support (Level 1-2):
· Provide helpdesk support for end-users via phone, email, and in person.
· Explain issues and solutions to end-users in non-technical and understandable terms.
· Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues on desktops, laptops, and mobile devices.
· Install, configure, and troubleshoot Windows, and macOS operating systems.
· Performs scheduled maintenance on computer systems to ensure efficient operations
· Repairs or replaces faulty components for a computer/network system
· Assist users with password resets, account lockouts, and other IT inquiries.
· Support and maintain printers, scanners, and other peripherals.
· Document issues, solutions, and procedures in the IT knowledge base.
System Administration (Level 2):
· Manage and administer Active Directory, Entra ID, Microsoft 365, and Google Workspace accounts.
· Perform routine maintenance on Windows servers (updates, backups, and patching).
· Monitor system performance, availability, and security threats.
· Assist with the deployment and maintenance of cloud services and virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V, or similar).
· Support basic network troubleshooting (DNS, DHCP, VPN, firewalls, Wi-Fi).
· Assist with security measures, including antivirus, endpoint protection, and access controls.
Required Qualifications:
· 1-3 years of experience in IT support, helpdesk, or system administration.
· Strong knowledge of Windows 10/11, Windows Server, and macOS administration.
· Experience with Active Directory, Entra ID, user/group management, and permissions.
· Basic networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN).
· Experience with Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, or cloud-based solutions.
· Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
· Excellent communication and customer service skills.
· Ability to lift and move IT equipment (up to 50 lbs).
Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have):
· Associate or Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Networking, or related field.
· Certifications: CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft 365.
· Experience with PowerShell or Bash scripting.
· Familiarity with IT ticketing systems (Jira, ServiceNow, or similar).
· Understanding of cybersecurity best practices and compliance standards.
· Experience with remote support tools (TeamViewer, AnyDesk, etc.).
Work Environment:
· Full-time, onsite role typically M-F 8:30am to 5pm. Occasional remote support during weather events or extenuating circumstances.
· Must be able to travel to client sites in the Jacksonville area on occasion.
· Rotating on-call or after-hours support may be required.
