Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Steel Welder to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various welding techniques and be proficient in working with ductwork, sheet metal, and other materials. The Welder will be responsible for fabricating and assembling metal structures and components according to specifications, ensuring high-quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Perform welding tasks using FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding) and other welding methods as required.
- Assemble ductwork and sheet metal components based on blueprints and project specifications.
- Utilize plasma cutting equipment to cut metal parts accurately.
- Conduct inspections of welded joints to ensure compliance with codes and standards.
- Use measuring tools such as micrometers to verify dimensions and tolerances.
- Apply basic math skills for calculations related to measurements and material requirements.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety protocols.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and effectively.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Welder, with expertise in ductwork, sheet metal fabrication, and assembly.
- Strong knowledge of welding techniques, including FCAW, and ability to read blueprints effectively.
- Familiarity with industry codes and standards related to welding practices.
- Mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot issues as they arise.
- Proficient in using measuring tools such as micrometers for precision work.
